I am so thrilled to be sharing this body of work with you.  I have had the best time creating these paintings, and hope that shines through. This series is heavily inspired by my “Nostalgia” collection that I painted in Mexico recently. I wanted to use a similar concept but on a much larger scale. I love how they have turned out!

For me, the title “Take Me Back” is directly referencing my desire to return to Mexico, and to experience the joy of being so inspired by that culture again. But as a wider meaning, this series embodies the feeling of yearning for a place or a time that holds a special piece of your heart, wherever that may be.

The old sheet music, book pages, sewing patterns, atlas pieces and more, bring a sense of nostalgia into the border framing the scene.

I can’t wait to see these beauties find their forever homes.
